You will find a Menu Bar on all screens. The menu bar is a tool that is used to access the various features of the application.
You can use either Access Keys or Point-and-Click to access menu commands. Regardless of the method you use, the same screens will be displayed. When you have selected a topic by clicking it, all sub-headings the topic may have will be displayed in a dropdown list.
Occasionally, menus may contain commands that are inactive. These commands will be colored grey and they cannot be selected. Menu commands can be inactive for several reasons:
The command does not apply to the active record or the current selection.
Information does not exist in the record to support the command.
Security restrictions and rights based upon the current user prevents the command from being accessed.
For more information on the specific functions of the menu bar, see OMS Modules Overview.
